Tuition
Terms: Tuition
is normally given in four terms corresponding with public school terms.
Tuition is also available during most public and school holidays.
Fees: Fees are due from the commencement of the first lesson of each term or set period. Fees paid by this date receive a 7% discount. Fees are to be paid no later than the end of a lesson for which they are in payment. An account invoice for scheduled lessons is issued at the commencement of a given term or agreed period. Missed
Lessons:
Fees
for lessons
missed through the student’s non-attendance are payable. Late
arrival at a lesson does not alter the scheduled lesson time and charge. Progress
Report: Written
reports are issued regularly at the end of each term. Examinations
and Competitions: Students
are not entered for examination or competition without mutual consent between
the teacher and student.
Students
have access to AMEB practical examinations (Classical Piano Syllabus or
Piano for Leisure Syllabus), and written exams (Theory, Musicianship or Music
Craft). Tuition
Materials: The
student is invoiced for the cost of books and materials considered by the teacher to be essential
for the tuition of the student.
Notice
to Discontinue: Intention
to discontinue must be given with 4 weeks’ notice. Practice:
Regular time for practice
needs to be set aside in order that the student can make significant progress in
their learning.
A suitable instrument, place and uninterrupted time are required for practice.
All family members should be supportive of and during practice. Annah-Valerie
