Mozart

January 27th marks the 250th birthday anniversary of Wolfgang Mozart.  He was born in Salzburg Austria (Europe) and began learning and writing music when he was only 3 years old.  He began playing an instrument like the piano when he was 4 and performed for the Empress of Austria when he was 6.
Mozart was a famous composer when he was 14 years old.  During his life he wrote 22 operas (musical stories), 40 symphonies (pieces written for orchestra) and many sonatas, concertos, serenades and church-choir songs for harpsichord (like a piano) and violin.  His music involves a lot of feelings (lively, sad, serious, pretty, funny).  He spent his life writing and performing music, but most of his work became popular after he died at 35 years of age.
